Education
Refugees don't have access to education
Education is a powerful tool that breaks the cycle of poverty and empowers communities. Yet, in Malaysia, over 41,000 refugee children long for education yet none of them have access to formal education.
That is why Greater Action strives to provide quality education to refugee children and women through three main channels. First, at our GA Academy, where they learn English and Malay to communicate with the community. Second, by partnering with local refugee learning centers. Third, through child education sponsorships.
We strive to ensure all refugee children aged 5 to 18 can access quality education. Our partnerships with two refugee learning centers in Bandar Baru Ampang offer strong foundational education and IGCSE preparation, promoting lifelong learning.
Sustainable Livelihood
Refugees are not allowed to work legally
education.
General Healthcare
Refugees cannot afford specialist healthcare.
Refugees in Malaysia do not get access to affordable and quality healthcare. Therefore, Greater Action is helping those with urgent medical cases get assistance, quick diagnosis, and adequate treatment at discounted rates or free of charge.
Our preferred partners are two local clinics run by a team of dedicated physicians who listen to their patients’ needs and refer them to specialists when needed.
